Fix It Friday #62

It's time for another Fix It Friday at I Heart Faces.

This week we have this absolutely adorable photo to work with. This is the original.

Edit 1:

PSPX:
I opened this photo and cropped it, created a new adjustment layer, made a curves adjustment to lighten skin & shadows and erased back in background. Then, created a new layer and adjusted brightness/contrast and then did a bit of dodging/burning on her face to help with shadows & hot spots. Flattened image, decided I wasn't happy with it and did another curves adjustment before saving.

Edit 2:

Photoshop 6.0:
I opened this photo, cropped it and  used the channel mixer for my black & white conversion. I made a duplicate layer, made an adjustment in curves, erased back in the background and flattened the image. I did some dodging/burning to even out shadows/hot spots. Once again, decided it needed more contrast so did one more curves adjustment before saving.
